Copyright and takedowns
Side Block should maintain a clear process for copyright owners and submitters. Obtain legal advice before accepting public uploads.
Takedown notice
A valid notice should identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy statement, and the sender’s signature.
Counter-notice
A submitter should have a documented process to contest removal when legally permitted. Do not restore disputed material without following the required waiting period and procedures.
Repeat infringement
Create and consistently enforce a repeat-infringer policy. Preserve notices, decisions, and communications according to an approved retention schedule.
